i'm gg Paradigm Infinitum (PI) - this place that sells 另类 games - tomorrow. here's what i'm gg to be looking at.

1. Settlers of Catan Card Game (heard it's not as good as the board game. but since it's 2 players.. well.. only me and fatty gary playing.. i guess..........)
2. Saboteur
3. Pompeii (this waste time, mindless game. i loved the idea of throwing screaming pawns into the volcano.. *evil laughter*)
4. and many more which i can't recall @ 2.25am in the morning.. i better go sleep soon..............

i didn't really enjoy uni life in the beginning cos i haven't really found people who share the same interests (e.g. idol dramas, chinese pop). but by and by, i was lucky enough to meet up with more people through various activities. after meeting these people, i really really had a fun time. had fun bitching and slamming stupid rubbishy profs. hee.. you guys made my uni life worth looking back upon. heehee...

to those that are not "featured" here - there are actually a lot of others not in here, i'm really sorry i didn't take photo with you (maybe cos i left dinner early or u didn't turn up!!). even though you can't get to show your lovely face here, you guys still made my time in uni worthwhile. hee..

games i want!!

been addicted to card games (whilst gary is onz about boardgames).. went over to fatty gary's place today to play games with both him and his bro.

played 6 nimmit or take 6! pretty fun.. pretty waste time.. and then we played some history game (in which Gary and I failed pretty badly - obviously we're v lousy in American history). since we didn't do well in it, i didn't bother remembering the name!!! heeheehee..

Gary introduced me to this boardgamegeeks.com webby that is a forum (sort of) for people to post some reviews about games as well as rank games. they are not very good in card games though.. but then again 见仁见智 la. i do not think some of the "high ranking" cards are good, but people find it fun.. anyway maybe because i never play them before so i wouldn't know..

but after looking through the games, i kinda know what i am aiming for (at least, what i'm going to be buying.. hee.. hope they are cheap - less than $30 la).

here's the list:

1. saboteur (really fun!!)
2. first hand or hands up! (good for a break in between)
3. sequence (can play when we dun have long afternoon breaks)
4. sleeping queens (for 无聊的时候)
5. settlers - either the card game or the other version (planning to share with Gary la)

if i don't share with him, he'll probably blow his whole allowance on board games.

commencement (or what is commonly known as Convocation).. snore.........

oh gosh.. it's time for me to think about the dreaded convocation (actually it's known as Commencement in my school.. we're different...........). i dunno if i wanna go.. honestly.. my grades stand at a pathetic 2.95!!! OMG! my last term grades are not good enough to wipe out the double Cs i got some time earlier (i dunno when). i'm not sure............................ how how how how how how how... who to advise me!

I"M BACK

i'm back from my taiwan trip. instead of going on a foodie journey, i went on a shopping trip! man it's darn tiring. here's what happened..

Day 1:
arrived @ taoyuan airport --> took cab to hotel (internal transfer did not happen) --> settle down --> went to shilin via MRT --> had smelly tofu (all peiru's fault!!) --> shopping (forgot what i bought) --> went back to hotel @about 12 something --> shower --> sleep

Day 2 (the day that almost killed us):
woke up @ 6:30am (seryin woke up first so i took the chance to sleep in hahahaha) --> had breakfast @ hotel restaurant (disappointing food.. YUCK!) --> took train to taipei city hall station (to taipei 101 area for shopping) --> took train to houshanpi station (to wufenpu for shopping obviously) --> then over to raohe night market (forgot how we went there) --> then over to living mall (got lost along the way --> walked for an hour plus --> aching feet) --> took bus back to ximen station (walked somemore --> can't resist it!!!) --> took train back to hotel (in longshansi) --> walked back to hotel --> reached hotel @ 12 plus i think --> shower --> chit chat --> sleep

Day 3:
woke up @ 6:30am --> had horrible breakfast in horrible hotel restaurant --> left hotel @ 9 something or 10 to Taipei main station --> caught the train to Taichung (left Taipei main station @ 10:55) --> started walking around in Taichung (Di yi guang chang --> Ji guang shopping area) --> caught bus to feng jia night market (caught in the rain!!!) --> caught 21:43 train to Taipei (reached Taipei @ 12:04 sharp) --> took train back to Longshansi station (laden with shopping!!! so many cabs stopped along the way for us -- so nice) --> reached hotel @ 1 something --> shower --> chit chat --> slept @ 3am

Day 4:
woke up @ 6:30am --> had horrible breakfast in horrible hotel restaurant again (we wanna maximise the free breakfast) --> left hotel @ 10 something to Ximen station --> rain and wind was v strong so we cancelled plans to go to Danshui (Fisherman's Wharf) --> went to Miramar instead (Very cold) --> nothing much to buy (cos v ex) --> spent money on ferris wheel ride (very high very scary) --> went back hotel @ 9pm --> started packing up for the trip back --> fell asleep when i was trying to stay awake (that's how tired i was)

Day 5:
woke up @ 4am --> trying to stay awake (very hard) --> my eyes are closing --> internal transfer actually came @ 4 something!! (so proud of them) --> uncle was speeding us to the airport (reached the airport @ 5 something am) --> queue was darn long (feel asleep while queuing.. yawn!!!!!!) --> boarded the plane @ 7:10am (fell asleep soon after take off) --> didn't really eat breakfast (didn't have the appetite --> very tired) --> fell asleep all the way till around half an hour before landing (the flight's about 4 and a half hours) --> went lunch with family and Gary --> went to bed

That's how the whole trip went. was fun.. loads of funny things happened.. i was constantly nagging at the girls.. i was no good example too la.. half the time i was dozing off or in my own world. as always.. or i'm sometimes too slow to catch up on what was said.. haha.. but then again.. i had a fun 5 days with them and now i really miss their voices and their nonsense.. haha.. but i'm also glad to be back with my family and Gary. so happy to see him there at the airport with my family. glad that they are getting along.. hee.. anyway.. i'm very tired now despite having slept for more than 12 hours... my mum made me noodles @ 10sthg yesterday night so that i would not have to suffer gastric. hee.. but the thing is.. i am suffering from gastric.. and she talked about installing a TV in my room!! yeah!! but got tv no dvd player la.. so boring!!!! argh.. anyway.. i should go back to sleep le!! snore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

few hours before take off

i'm in the airport now. using the free internet access with only 13:25 time remaining to the access. my gate is D40 - and it opens at 12.10pm. it's 12.20pm now though. haha. boarding is supposed to be @ 12.10 la. but then again.. who cares....

everything's checked in and all i need to do is to put my fatty butt in the plane. and all my meinus men are next to me playing with the computer too!!! haha.. dun rush me! i know when gary sees this he'll flip! i should be in the gate now. but then again.. haha.. the lure of the internet is too huge.. i lurve having internet access it's like being connected to the world. heehee...

anyway, i'm going off soon on my foody journey in taipei. haha.. and i'm NOT sitting next to talkactive seryin who will talk my ear off during the 4 over hours plane journey... heng ah!!!!!!!!!!

i lurve the key board man.. feels like i'm really typing.. wahahahahaha

k la. i have 9.48 min left to my internet time. heeheehee... better go.. will be updating pictures next time! see ya when i get back!!! woohoo!!!

day before trip

hey hey... the start of my taiwan trip is coming.. yeah!!! i'm so so happy.. finally get to go see taipei.. been seeing it on tv so often that i'm so tempted to go see what is there.. woohoo... but it's 5 days of food and more food and shopping... although i'm leaving Gary behind la. but lookie this way, it's only 5 days.. time to be a total camera whore!!!!!!!!!! woohoo!!!!!!!!!!

so upsetting

i'm leaving for taiwan in 2 days time... well actually.. tmr (it's 00:06, 15 june 2007 and i'm leaving on 16 june 2007).

and guess what.. while i'm busy waking up and trying to drag tang ser yin (my jc friend who is known for her perennial lateness) from yishun (i stay in sembawang - about 5 to 10 min bus ride from her place) to changi airport, dear gary has a meeting... when i say that message.. i can only smile and say... "ok". what else? say cannot ah... force him to stay home in confinement?? haha.. nah la. but can't help feeling a little sian though.. thinking that he might not be contactable for a few hours before i leave singapore..

actually it's not like i'm leaving for 1 year or sthg.. it's just 5 days.. but still.. he never fails to be the last one to say gd bye to me even for a 2D1N trip to KL. just that i kinda suspect he won't be doing that now.. feels a little empty.. kong xu.. ya know?

ah well.. 5 days of touring lovely taiwan and 5 days of stuffing face in food food food food.. and of cos the shopping.. *big grinz*

just wanna write down my confused thoughts. hee..

i've failed to defend camelot... ARGH!!!

i went to this game shop with Gary.. i have no idea what the name of the shop is. anyway it's in midpoint orchard. we boardgame fanatics went to that shop to track down hard to find boardgames. heehee.. bought this funky game called "shadows over camelot". i kept calling it:

• shadows of camelot
• shadows of lancelot (wondered where that came about.........)

pretty interesting la. hee. we played against the game basically. so hard man.. played 3 rounds with gary and my brother. and we lost camelot twice. so sad!!! anyway, we'll try harder next time.

that place where we went has this huge collection of dice!! OMG!!! it's so cute! i love dice.. it started when i was watching shuang tian zhi zun, the part where hundreds (it's local production.. i doubt there would be thousands used) of transparent dice fell from the steps... OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH it's such a nice scene and that got me interested in dice.. they have 6-, 8-, 20-sided dice (there are more, just that i don't remember).

anyway that's all for now. pretty boring, yes. cuz i've been doing absolutely nothing but watching tv, shopping and sleeping all day. this is the life...... ah.................................
